Our Approach to Borrowers

A smooth transition.
A clear path forward.

When your loan transfers to The Nearglen Group, we aim to make the experience straightforward. For borrowers whose accounts are in good standing, the transition should require very little from you — your servicer will be in touch with what you need.

We are accessible as the note holder whenever you have questions that go beyond routine account matters.

For borrowers who have experienced a lapse in payments or are facing financial hardship, decisions about how to proceed rest with us as the note holder. We review every account individually and work toward a path that makes sense for your situation.

We are not here to make a difficult situation harder.

About Your Account

What a transfer
means for you.

The acquisition of mortgage notes is a standard transaction within the financial industry. The Nearglen Group has purchased your note and is now the holder of your loan. Day-to-day account administration — including payment processing, account statements, and remittance instructions — is handled by a licensed third-party servicer. You will receive correspondence from that servicer with everything you need.

The original terms of your agreement — interest rate, payment schedule, and all contractual obligations — remain in full effect, exactly as written. The transfer of the note does not change what you owe or how your loan operates.

Common Questions

Frequently asked
by borrowers.

Why did my loan transfer to The Nearglen Group?

Mortgage notes are regularly bought and sold as a standard practice within the financial industry. The Nearglen Group acquired your note as part of its portfolio and is now the holder of your loan.

Do my loan terms change after the transfer?

No. All terms of your original loan agreement remain in force without modification — interest rate, payment amount, schedule, and all other provisions. The transfer affects only who holds the note, not what the note requires of you.

How do I make payments or get account information?

Day-to-day account administration — including remittance instructions, payment processing, and account statements — is handled by the third-party servicer assigned to your loan. You will receive their contact information in your transfer and servicing letters. For questions about your account balance, payment history, or servicing errors, those matters should be directed to your servicer. If you have not received those letters or are unsure who your servicer is, reach out to us at 626-408-8771 or via the form below and we will point you in the right direction.

What if I am in an active bankruptcy case?

Please notify us promptly using the form below. Select Bankruptcy — Attorney Referral from the situation menu and include your case number and attorney contact information. All subsequent communication will be directed accordingly.
